Jen Knight is recording a new album! As her live drummer, I'm hoping to get into the studio and work on it, but we'll see how schedules and the direction of production shape the course of things to come.
Next week, I'm finally getting the video of the performance of Roger Anderson and I last year. For those of you who remember, we took the stage as a drums and piano improvisational duo before I got the opportunity to support his choir at Mira Costa College. I'll get video added to my site shortly.
Not So Much News
I followed a weird whim last month and picked up a Ukulele. It is impossible to be unhappy and play a Uke. If you are unhappy, you sound terrible. Of course, since I don't know any Hawaiian songs and my primary audience in my 5 month old son, Thatcher, I've decided to learn songs that he loves ... Bad Religion songs. Yes, my 5 month old LOVES Bad Religion. It soothes him from his most ferocious tizzies! While he tends to favor the last three albums, Generator is his favorite song. And, believe it or not, it really lends itself well to Ukulele. Learning this instrument has begun to restore old (and long lost) knowledge about chord sequences and song keys that will only improve my drumming and my response to the music I play.

I'm waiting on a few more folks to get back to me, but the endorsement page will be up soon. I've already heard from Tom Griesgraber, Holiday and the Adventure Pop Collective, and Scar'd Sanity. I'm still waiting on Tim Mudd, Steve Russell, Jen Knight, and Aaron Bowen.

In a tradition that Tim Mudd and I started years and years ago, I'll post my Top 5 Albums of 2007 as well as my Top 5 Most Disappointing Albums of 2007. 2008 has started out strong ... have you heard the new Radiohead?!?!?
